A highly decorated veteran of 20 campaigns spanning three wars, Grange is among the few paratroopers in Army history to make 3 combat jumps. As a legendary Ranger, his name lives on through the LTG David E. Grange, Jr. Best Ranger Competition. For those that knew him, he is remembered for his valor, dedication to the community, influential mentoring and coaching, and commitment to training.
