During AUSA, a Contemporary Military Forum headed by GEN Poppas, FORSCOM Commander, discussed Transforming Warfighting Readiness. Core themes included an explanation of what transforming in contact looks like, specific processes now happening to innovate and integrate new equipment, appropriate application of lessons learned from one theatre to another, and much more. The School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) graduates are prepared to drive the operations process to achieve favorable strategic, operational, and tactical outcomes. The Cultural & Area Studies Office (CASO) at the Command and General Staff College enhances PME and educates the Army on historical, socio-cultural, political, and geo-political factors shaping the OE.
